Our Story

Built on the backbone of the White Mountains

Buffalo Nickel Brewery wasn't born from a business plan — it grew from the kind of stubborn pride that defines Show Low. We wanted a place where locals could raise a glass without driving an hour to Flagstaff, where the beer is poured with the same care you'd find anywhere, and where the food actually keeps up.

Every batch on our tap list starts with a question: would we drink this after a long day on the mountain? If the answer isn't yes, we brew something else. That's the standard. That's the nickel.

PALE ALE

Nickel Pale

Crisp, citrus-forward, and dangerously drinkable. Our flagship for a reason — the one you'll come back to whether you meant to or not.

5.4% ABV 45 IBU Medium Body
LAGER

Mountain Gold Lager

Clean, golden, and smooth as a summer afternoon on the ridge. This is the lager we brew when we want everyone at the table to feel welcome.

4.8% ABV 28 IBU Light Body
STOUT

Ridgeback Stout

Dark as a pine forest at dusk. Roasted malt, a whisper of coffee, and a finish that lingers long enough to make you order another.

6.2% ABV 38 IBU Full Body
IPA

High Country IPA

Piney, resinous, and unapologetically bitter. Brewed with Cascade and Centennial hops — made for people who don't apologize for their taste.

6.8% ABV 65 IBU Medium+ Body
WHEAT

Saguaro Sun Wheat

Hazy, fruity, and easy-going. A wheat beer that tastes like sunshine hitting the desert floor — refreshing without being forgettable.

5.0% ABV 18 IBU Medium Body
PORTER

Ponderosa Porter

Deep, complex, and quietly powerful. Dark chocolate and toasted grain with a smoothness that makes it impossible to notice how fast it's gone.

Our kitchen runs on wood fire and simple principles. We build everything to pair with what's on tap — bold flavors that stand up to a stout, bright dishes that cut through an IPA. No complicated menus, no pretense. Just good food made the way it should be.
